Brad has always been obsessed with exercise, health and nutrition.  In his teen years would subscribe to magazines such as “Muscle & Fitness”, “Men’s Health”, “American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.”  At the age of 17, Brad started work at a local supplement store.

In the year 2000, Brad was hired as a research analyst at one of the leading supplement companies.  Part of his job was to review the top bodybuilding and fitness magazines.  He obtained certification as a strength and conditioning specialist. He became dismayed with the information being given.

Brad eventually left the supplement industry so that he could write this book.  He did go back to graduate school studying nutrition, fasting and weight loss.
